Nearly 3 hours away (130km) from Kumarakom the village tourism destination, from Alapuzha (138km) the hub of backwater tourism and house boats, and Munnar (98km) the land of which gave to the visitors the History of tea plantations in Kerala. Situated at an altitude 918m above sea level. This hills are famous for cardamom, cinnamon, clove, pepper, ginger, other spices and Ayurvedic plants. The Periyar Tiger Reserve contains 1965 varieties of flowering plants. This ecosystem hosted numerous specious of wild lives and wide varieties of birds.
